I haven’t posted in a while as I took some time off from this blog to play catch up with life and other projects that are on my plate. So I want to take a moment to talk about the things we all could de to appreciate the journey we all are on for inspiration and improving our lives.
When you decide you want to pursue a big dream, you get excited and are ready to take on that goal, you’re focused in the mission to accomplish it and then all of a sudden you’re burned out and have lost your gusto. Well that was me this past week or two since I last blogged.
I realized I needed to take time for my self and go after my small dreams. These dreams consist of easy and obtainable goals. One of my dreams was to go on a shopping trip for a new wallet after work, and just be with myself.
My next dream was to take my son on a early birthday trip to an amusement park and the beach. Mission accomplished, we had a blast!
My little dream this week is to try something new! Just as simple as that.
I call them little dreams because we all think about something we want to do and accomplish. What makes life more fun is to give yourself a to do list of your little dreams and accomplish them as much as possible. Once you practice this, you’ll be surprised of how motivated you will get to continue on your BIG dream. Your mind will be clearer because you’ve raised your energy level to match the energy you need to fulfill your big goal. If for some reason you fall out of love with your big goal, don’t worry just enjoy the journey overall and continue to make little dreams and new big dreams will come true.
There are only 24 hours in a day, 8 or more are spent at work, the next 5 to 6 hours are spent with family or with yourself. If you have school after work then you have less time to go around as your days speed through in a slow pace, because you are waiting for the year to be over so you can finish and graduate.
The next 6 to 8 hours are spent sleeping, well at least you hope. Then there is the morning where you may have 2 hours or less for your self as you get ready to go to work. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time to do much.
If you find yourself needing more time, I have good and bad news. You’re not going to get more than 24 hours, but you can play with the remaining hours you do have for yourself.
Write down what you do during the hours you have free, make a plan to give yourself at least an hour of no computer and no social media. Fill your extra time with things you really enjoy, like a good book, drinking a cup of coffee or writing a story, listening to music and dancing in your room. What ever you do, enjoy the little time you have left in a day as you should enjoy living the remaining years of your life. Have a great week.
Hey everyone, this weekend is going to be really busy for me as I’m going through some family restructuring phases and planning ahead for blogging so I can keep providing everyone with valuable content. Some days I will not be posting but when I do I want to make sure what I share is worth reading. Also working on other side projects that will allow me to be more creative. So I just want to say thank you for tuning into my blog I really, appreciate you all!
So starting this weekend I’m going to experiment as much as I can with doing good deeds. For me the challenge will be to do them hopefully without the recipient knowing it was me.
I’ll be doing a followup post to let you know what I experienced and felt as I am working on shifting the way I perceive the world by giving to others.

Do you ever feel inspired in a certain part of the day as if you could do just about anything and you seem to have regained hope for a better road ahead? For me it’s always in the morning after I get up, get ready for work, go out the door as I get into my car and drive off to start my day.
For some reason, I feel like as if I could conquer the world as I take along my confidence in a successful day. As short as the feeling goes throughout the day when the routine of life kicks in, this burst of motivation does help me stay focused and positive.
My mission this week is to continue to explore new possibilities and to push my self a little bit harder in trying something new.
Let’s do this together, think of something you want to try or do something spur of the moment this week that is out of your comfort zone. It could be a simple gesture such as paying it forward someway or try a new food that you are scared to try!

If you don’t live in Vegas and are wondering what else you could be doing besides the typical casino walk along the strip, Believe it or not Las Vegas has allot of things to do. One of my favorite venues is First Friday located in the arts district of the city. This event happens…you guessed right, every first Friday of the month.
At First Friday you’ll see local artists and crafters, gourmet food trucks, live music and street performers. It’s a fun time and the atmosphere is very casual. Right now at this very moment you may have to make a very important decision about something or someone. You’re not quite sure what is but there’s something about the situation that just doesn’t seem right.
Whether it’s taking a job, or going to an event, or not hanging out with that person who gives off a weird vibe or that you’re just not sure about, you start to think about your issue sometimes overthinking which causes stress and anxiety which doesn’t help you trust yourself.
I was faced with this challenge many times, but for example a recent event for me was whether or not to go to a job interview that I was just not feeling too certain about and that it was not feeling like the right fit for me. It wasn’t a being nervous thing or being scared about the job, it was more of a feeling that I got when I thought about it and how it made me feel about possibly working there.
It’s a large popular company that is very famous here in my town and would look great on my resume. But the feeling I got when I thought about the job, images kept popping up and red flags keep telling me that this is not what you should be doing. As glamorous as it seemed, the only thing that was attracting me to the position was the money. It was really good money.
I ended up going to the interview to see if what I am feeling is just thoughts and overthinking. Once I arrived and went on my way to the interview, I was not too excited to walk in the door, the parking lot area was filled with many cars and parking far didn’t appeal to me. Walking in the door of the building, people were dressed in corporate attire, very quiet int their work and not engaging with each other.
Once I met the person who was going to interview me, I got the vibe that she was a nice person and seemed interested in me and my experience. But when we walked in the room to interview, it felt like the interrogation room you see in police movies, just more brightly lighted and decorated with motivation signs, you usually see in businesses to keep employees feel like they are really doing something miraculous for the company.
After learning more about the job description from the interviewer, I also knew that the position was less attractive than what was posted on the job board. The duties she described seemed mundane and boring. Nothing really creative, although it claimed it was a “creative” position.
After the interview was over, I thanked the interviewer for her time and told her I would think about the position. In my gut feeling I knew she was going to call me back for a second interview. Low and behold a few days later she did, and I wasn’t excited. I knew my gut feeling was working in my favor, it knew that it wasn’t the right fit for me. I would have taken this job and lived with the regret of certain boredom while wearing uncomfortable business casual clothing.
You have built in mechanisms within you that are there working in your favor. Listen and trust yourself by quieting your mind and having a chat with your gut who is your soul’s best spokesperson.
To end this story, I enjoy the company I currently work for, it is much more creative and my version of business casual are wearing jeans and flip flops.
