Life is The Short

Listen to that inner voice inside you. You matter to the world, even if the world has no idea who you are, you matter.

Why? Because you are unique, there is no one in this world exactly like you, even if you are a twin. You are similar but very unique.

Remember there will never be another you in this world, do make the most of the little amount of time you have left.

Life will pass before your eyes as it has, and you know this. Look at your life and how it has evolved from the time you came into this world.

Stop and notice the world around you, the real world. There is more to life than whats on your mobile devices.

Let go of worry, life will guarantee to bring you challenges, how you face them will determine where you go from there. Cherish the good times and those wonderful spurts of excitement that come your way.

That is all for this month. Take care.

Book Review: Anything You Want

I am a big fan of listening to books online and I highly recommend listening to them if you’re an extremely busy person. I just finished this audio book called: Anything You Want by Derek Sivers.

Great listen for anyone who is aspiring to be and do more in their lives, and not just walk in a single file line of life.

It’s a great book not only for entrepreneurs but for everyone. Derek tells his story about how he launched his own small business and watched it grow and evolve, he had many success and failures along the way but perseverance and persistence and just running the company the way wanted was the key to his success

Inspirational Weekend: The Bored of Me Project

teal background with Inspirational Weekend in black lettersA couple of months after I grabbed a copy of our local magazine called: Las Vegas Woman Magazine, I came across an article about a woman who talked about her story of being adventurous and excited for life only to discover her life became routine and dull to the point that one day she didn’t recognize her self in the mirror and the woman she had become. Life happened and then routine took over which put out the fire her soul
once was.

I recommend her story to anyone who has ever felt this way at one point in their life or is currently suffering from lost self and boredom. Find out how she is taking back her life and what she is doing now. You can find her stories here:

Here are 3 main takeaway points:

1. Find passion
2. Do what you love
3. Go for it

I hope you take some time to read her article and enjoy it as much as I did. How do you get out of the routine of your life? What fuels your soul? Leave in the comments below! 🙂

A Quick Lesson From a Free Spirited Freelancer

So I have been at my current job for about 3 months now and I work with great people, each one has a unique talent and I am continuing learning something from them.

Just in the past 4 weeks I have been working along side a coworker from overseas we’ll call him Jim and he has been our design freelancer long before I cam aboard the company, so he was invited to come on a work Visa in the office and meet with us all.

Jim and I have been talking about life situations and the general stuff most freelance traveling types talk about…life. One day I asked him about living the way he does, works as a design freelancer, travels around to work on projects with various companies and has no general interest in working with the company other than to create great products and work on things that really matter to him

His mentality about how he lives his life made so much sense to me and more natural than what I have been spoon fed about how our society interprets living.

His current idea of success is living basic, not material, not living with an accumulation of stuff and material possessions.

Working to live and enjoy the life during his youth and not waiting to be older and retired to finally live.

Having a passion to explore and meet new people and get out of your comfort zone.

I took some time to look at myself and not try to compare but to try to understand the way I think about the world as I know it.

Jim sent me this inspiring YouTube video yesterday which sums up the way he thinks. You may have seen this one it’s been around a while. If you haven’t seen it either way take a moment to listen to this guy’s experience.

My admiration for out of the box free thinkers like Jim will help me stay focused and motivated. I hope this video inspires you too.
